TARP - Training Addiction and Recovery Professionals
ACTTC - Addiction Counselor's Training, Treatment and Consultation

TARP, Inc. was founded by William Perkins, a Substance Abuse Treatment Professional and Substance Abuse Program Developer with 15+ years of experience in the treatment and prevention of drug abuse.

Mr. Perkins is a New York State Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) with international recognition and reciprocity. He has a degree in Human Services and numerous city, state, and federal certifications.

In addition to serving as Executive Director of TARP, William Perkins is also the Clinical Director of a multi-service, state licensed chemical dependence program.

William Perkins has benefited from being mentored/trained by leading experts in the field of addiction who taught him to pass on the knowledge he has gained. In return, it's been his great honor and pleasure to have trained many others to become professional counselors.

TARP's team of instructors speak English, Spanish, and Russian and have a combined 75+ years of professional experience. Under the direction of Mr. Perkins, TARP specializes in initial credentialing, re-credentialing, and CPP contact hours. (CPP refers to Credentialed Prevention Professional and is intended for individuals who provide alcohol and substance abuse prevention services in approved work settings.)

"Our primary goal is to do our part to assure that training services in the field of chemical dependence are of the highest quality." - William Perkins

TARP, Inc. is a New York State OASAS Approved Provider and a NAADAC Approved Education Provider.
